FIC AR HUD design is a kind of projection device, which uses optical projection technology to project vehicle information such as ADAS info, navigation, speed limits, car speed, traffic warning to the driver’s field of view for truck. The driver can move his vision from the dashboard to the road in front, that makes driver can focus on driving safety. Different from the common projection used TFT (Thin Film Translator) and DLP (Digital Light Procession), FIC uses a sunlight readable projection technique without the generation of heat source, and the problem of heat dissipation is easier to solve.
Compared with the usual Head Up Display. HUD Display (2013~2018) uses TFT-LED panel, displayed as 2D flat, but the virtual image lack of distance perception and icons will block the front view upon driving. The W-HUD (Windshield-HUD/2017~2019) used TFT-LED panel or DLP projection. The virtual image size of the message display is not large enough and it is no augmented reality to enhance the real world fit. Due to the lack of brightness and contrast, the image is relatively fuzzy on the windshield. The FIC AR HUD design uses the Sunlight Readable technique to project which makes the image visible in the natural sunlight environment with super high contrast and high brightness characteristics.
