FIC AR HUD design is a kind of projection device, which uses optical projection technology to project ADAS info, navigation, speed limits, car speed, traffic warning to drivers’ fields of views in commercial vehicles, trucks, and economic vehicles. Drivers can move their visions from the dashboards on the front road, that make drivers to keep their sights focusing on the road safety rather than bowing head down to obtain car information.

Compared with the usual Head Up Display. HUD Display (2013~2018) displayed as 2D flat, lacking depth perception and obstructing the view of real objects ahead. The W-HUD (Windshield-HUD/2017~2019) features virtual image size that is not large enough and it is no augmented reality to enhance the real world fit. Due to the lack of brightness and contrast, the image is relatively fuzzy on the windshield. The AR HUD solution provided by FIC, with its AR real-world integration, merges virtual images with reality without obstructing the road ahead, offering a safer and more efficient driving experience.

– No Need To Focus : The presentation of virtual imaging distance and image size depends on adjusting the optical design angle and sensing elements, while the volume is the smallest without focusing design.

The distance and range of virtual image are affected by different projection angles. The virtual image distance of traditional HUD is about 2 meters. FIC AR HUD has a virtual image presentation angle (FOV) of 6-20 degrees and an image projection distance (VID) of 3-25 meters. The car drivers can see the Augmented Reality Head Up Display Design message is suspended in front and actual road conditions, reducing the time for drivers to shift their eyes to the car screen and the road, and reducing the possibility of accidents.
